The story of the Agricole Tour started in 2015, when Jerry Gitany and Benoit Bail had the common idea, with some partner rum brands from Martinique, to represent agricole rums on the international market and educate the consumers about it, through representations on several rum shows.
For the last 4 years, both partners, under the status of the Rum Embassy, have helped increasing the knowledge about agricole rums from the French Caribbean in the World and have visited over 20 different countries that way and partnered up with at its maximum 16 different brands from Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guyana.
In 2019, they have decided to go on tour again and visit 4 international rum shows all around the globe. For this edition, they'll partner up with not less than 4 brands from Martinique, but also one from Guadeloupe, one from Saint-Martin and one from French Guyana.
During this tour, they'll have the occasion to host several seminars and masterclasses about the specificities of French agricole rums, produced in the French West Indies. Besides this, they'll also make people taste rums from the 9 partner brands on their booths on each rum festival.
